Biography

Katherine was an inaugural member of the influential and sometimes radical Spectrum Centre for Mental Health Research at Lancaster University from 2006 – 2010. She then completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with the UK NHS and Lancaster University aged 28, with her research focusing on the role of creativity in fostering recovery and resilience in people with mental health difficulties. Katherine is now employed in Arts for Health, the UK’s first established arts and health research centre, and works across a number of research and public engagement projects
